Master Bathroom Update

Hello friends!  Happy Tuesday, as promised I am so excited to share with you all our master bathroom updates!

When we bought our house it had everything we were looking for, but it did need a few updates.  After the completion of the kitchen remodel, (seen here) next on the list was our master bathroom!  Within the next few years we will most likely make some structural changes in this space, but for now the updates were all cosmetic.  As always, the hubs really pulled through with all of his hard work & creating my vision!  It is truly amazing how much you can transform a room with a few small changes.

First up was to take the large mirror down.  I could not wait for this step, it made such a difference.  I stumbled up the these mirrors while browsing through target and could not believe the price!  I got really lucky because the fit was absolutely perfect.  A little tip for hanging mirrors, Drew always uses these to hang large items.

For the wall paint I chose BM white sand, this is my favorite natural color that I have throughout my home.  I went back and forth on colors for the vanity for quite sometime, and ended up going with BM blue spruce which I am SO glad I did.  It makes the new hardware pop and looks amazing with the mirrors.  For hardware we replaced the drawer pulls and cabinet door knobs. I kept polished brass throughout, but don’t be afraid to mix metals.  Your hardware, faucets and light fixtures do not all have to be the same finish!

Light fixtures are another item which can easily bring some excitement into a bathroom update.  Thanks to all those that voted in my instagram stories to help me make my final decision!  These sconces were extremely budget friendly and easy to install.  I love that they are unique, and go perfectly with the new hardware & faucets.

Speaking of faucets, the ones we replaced were way past their prime.  Shopping for faucets can be daunting, there are so many choices out there!  For our kitchen sink faucet I used Kingston Brass, I was so impressed with the quality and customer service that I knew I would begin my search here.  It is so easy to navigate and filter to find exactly what you are looking for.  I couldn’t be happier with these center set faucets, I think they are one of the first things that catch your eye when you walk into the master bath!

Lastly, we installed My Smart Blinds.  This was a game changer.  We have one large window right above our bath tub and adjacent to our shower, which faces our neighbors.  Needless to say we have those babies on a schedule to open an hour after sunrise and close and hour after sunset haha!  My Smart Blinds can be controlled via the wall mountable smart switch, your phone/tablet, and even your voice through a smart speaker.  They charge through a solar panel and have an energy savings mode which is controlled by a built in temperature sensor.  Additionally, we turn on sun tracker which maintains the same light levels in your home throughout the change of seasons!  Use code JENNY10 for 10% your order, click here for code to automatically apply!
